Overview

The Cayatch Posture & Rehabilitation Scholarship is an annual academic scholarship created to support students in posture-intensive healthcare disciplines, where musculoskeletal health, ergonomics, and injury prevention are central to professional practice.

As prolonged sitting, device use, and repetitive strain increasingly affect both clinicians and patients, Cayatch aims to support future healthcare professionals who are committed to improving posture, movement quality, and long-term physical health outcomes.

This scholarship is awarded independently of any product use, endorsement, or commercial relationship.

Scholarship Awards

  • Number of recipients: 2 students annually

  • Award amount: $2,000 per recipient

  • Total annual awards: $4,000

  • Frequency: Awarded once per calendar year

Scholarship funds may be used for educational expenses, licensure preparation, or transition-to-practice costs.

This scholarship is intended to be offered on an annual basis.

Eligible Fields of Study

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. program in one of the following disciplines:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

  • Occupational Therapy (OT)

  • Nursing or Allied Healthcare programs

These disciplines experience some of the highest academic and clinical exposure to posture-related strain, ergonomic risk, and musculoskeletal injury.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Enrolled at an accredited U.S. institution

  • Pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing

  • Currently in the final academic or clinical year of their program

  • In good academic standing at the time of application

Application Requirements

A complete application includes:

  1. Completed online application form

  2. Short essay (500–750 words)
    Describe how posture, ergonomics, or musculoskeletal health impacts your field of study and how it may influence your future clinical practice.

  3. Unofficial academic transcript

  4. Current resume (optional but recommended)

Letters of recommendation are not required.

Selection Criteria

Applications are evaluated using the following criteria:

  • Essay quality and relevance: 50%

  • Academic progress and standing: 30%

  • Demonstrated interest in posture, ergonomics, or musculoskeletal health: 20%

Recipients are selected based on merit, clarity of thought, and alignment with the scholarship’s mission.

Application Timeline

  • Application deadline: October 31, 2026

  • Recipient notification: On or before November 30, 2026

  • Award disbursement: Within 15 business days of award acceptance

Recipient Recognition & Institutional Notification

With the recipient’s consent, Cayatch may:

  • Publish the recipient’s name, academic program, and institution on the Cayatch website.

  • Notify the recipient’s academic department or scholarship office of the award.

Recipients are not required to promote Cayatch or its products.
